A landing page has one job: help the right visitor take the next step. Everything else is decoration. After building a fair few of them, here's what consistently moves the needle.
Lead with the visitor's problem
The fastest way to lose someone is to talk about yourself first. Open with the problem they came to solve, in their words. They should think "yes, that's me" within the first few seconds.
One page, one goal
Every link, button, and paragraph should nudge toward a single action. If your page asks people to book a call and download a guide and read the blog, it's really asking them to do nothing.
A confused visitor never converts. Clarity beats cleverness every time.
Make the value obvious
People skim. Help them by being concrete:
- Replace "powerful platform" with what it actually does.
- Swap vague claims for real numbers when you have them.
- Use short headings so the page makes sense at a glance.
Speed is a feature
A beautiful page that loads slowly still loses. Fast pages feel trustworthy, rank better, and keep impatient thumbs from hitting the back button. We treat performance as part of the design, not an afterthought.
Earn trust along the way
Sprinkle proof near the moments of doubt: a testimonial beside the pricing, a logo strip under the hero, a clear answer to the "but what about…" question right before the call to action.
Then test, don't guess
Your first version is a hypothesis. Watch what real visitors do, change one thing at a time, and let the data settle arguments.
Convert isn't a magic word — it's the natural result of respecting your visitor's time, being honest about the value, and making the next step the easiest thing on the page.
